Dave Thomson has been a professional fisherman for 40 years and with the latest in fish finding equipment, gear and a 40ft Catamaran, can give you the best possible days fishing.

Tom Cat Charters fish a huge expanse of reef extending from Flinders Reef just north of Moreton Island, south to the Gold Coast. The grounds vary in depth from 8-12m on reefs such as coffee rock through to depths of up to 110m on the wide grounds which can be up to 15 nautical miles off the coast.

The majority of your days catch will be Snapper. You can, however, expect to encounter many other species including Pearl Perch, Parrot, Teraglin, Sweetlip, Jew, Rosy Job Fish, Green Job Fish, Amberjack, Samson Fish, Yellowtail Kingfish, Cobia, Dolphin Fish, Mackerel and various species of Tuna. The Crew are all professional fisherman with a lifetime of experience on the Brisbane offshore reef areas. These guys are all competition winning anglers and are more than willing to pass on some helpful hints to both the first timer and the more experienced angler alike.

Departure Time

The boat departs from Cleveland public pontoon (infront of the Cleveland Railway station) at 5.30am daily and returns between 3 and 3.30pm.

Please observe the QLD railway policy of NO PARKING FOR FISHING PATRONS IN THEIR CARPARK AS YOU MAYBE FINED OR TOWED.

All charters are subject to the numbers and the weather.

Included

All gear, tackle (custom built M10 rods and Penn Senator reels) and bait.

We have a "Keep Your Own Catch" policy and the crew will gut and gill the fish for you on the way home.

A morning tea and lunch will be provided along with tea and coffee and chilled soft drinks. Please observe our alcohol policy of no more than six stubbies or the equivalent in spirits per person per day. Patrons intoxicated at the time of embarkation won't be going fishing.
